Shopmobility is a scheme that provides shoppers who have mobility impairments, with powered or manual scooters and wheelchairs.
Shopmobility is for anyone with mobility problems, whether their disability is permanent or temporary and is for residents and visitors alike. It provides a free daily loan service of manual and powered wheelchairs and powered scooters to enable people to access the shops and services of Edmonton Green and Enfield Town.
You will need to register to use the equipment, by providing two forms of identification showing your name and address, for example, recent bank statement, driving licence or recent utility bill.
The first time you use a wheelchair or scooter you will be able to select which one you feel most comfortable with, then you will be shown how to operate it safely by a trained member of staff.
Edmonton Shopmobility can be found at 4 Monmouth Road (rear of Edmonton Baptist Church)

The church building, which was built in 1976, stands at the head of a busy local shopping precinct, which serves a population of around 76,000 people. The precinct is undergoing a major refurbishment over the next couple of years which may have implications for our own church building. Around 90% of the congregation live within a mile radius of the church giving it a strong local feel.
