Pop-Up Book Mural completed at Edmonton Green!
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of ‘The London School of Muralism’, and the local community a vibrant new pop-up book mural has come to life! Led by the talented Patricio Forrester, this exciting project, named ‘Eddy’s Pop Up Book,’ combines the diverse voices and aspirations of the community into a captivating visual mural. Located in North Square Car Park, this is something you do not want to miss!
Through a series of workshops, young participants from the Edmonton community shared their ideas for the mural. From creating a welcoming atmosphere for children to addressing pressing issues suchas knife crime, the mural reflects the collective spirit and diverse voices within the neighbourhood.

‘Eddy’s Pop Up Book’ is more than just a mural, it’s a testament to the power of collaboration and artistic expression which celebrates creativity within the community. Working collaboratively with NYCC and Exodus, ‘The London School of Muralism’ team embarked on a mission to create a visual masterpiece that captures the essence of community contributions.
The mural portrays, Edmonton as an open book, brimming with untold stories and boundless potential. Each element intricately woven into the artwork reflects the vibrant tapestry of Edmonton’s past, present and future, with a powerful message of unity encapsulated by a reinvented Angel’s arch bearing the words: ‘We Rise as One’.
The mural took eleven working days to complete and the dedication of numerous volunteers, including forty young residents who actively participated in the brainstorming process. A staggering 170 litres of paint was used.
‘Eddy’s Pop Up Book’ tells a story of hope, resilience and the enduring power of art to bring communities together. As the mural adorns the streets of Edmonton Green, it stands as a testament to the beauty of collaboration and creativity.
