Edmonton Green is thrilled to invite you to our annual Christmas Lights Switch-On. Join us for an enchanting evening as North Square transforms into an enchanting snow and ice paradise, filled with lights, community performances, and festive activities for all ages. Best of all, it’s completely FREE to attend!
Free Ice Skating
Glide into the festive season on a synthetic ice rink and enjoy the thrill of skating without the chill! Open from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm, this rink welcomes skaters of all ages. Ice skating aids will be available for younger children, ensuring everyone can enjoy the fun.
Live Performances
Enjoy music and entertainment from local talents, starting from 5:30 pm onwards, leading into the countdown to our Christmas Light Switch-On.
Special Appearances and Entertainment
Look out for stilt walkers and don’t miss out on a special visit from Eddie the Elephant, who will be adding extra cheer and Christmas spirit to the event.
Seasonal Treats
Warm up with free hot chocolate, snowy white candy floss, and more at our giveaway station.
Free Gift Bags
The first 150 children will receive a free gift bag filled with festive goodies!
Snowy Surprises
Come and experience the magical snowfall around North Square, achieved with snow machines placed around the square.
Photo-Worthy Displays
Stroll through illuminated arches and beautiful snow-dusted Christmas trees while marvelling at the sparkling light displays.
Christmas Light Switch-On
Witness the spectacular finale at 6:30 pm as Christmas lights illuminate North Square!
