Here at Edmonton Green, we’re all about fostering creativity and collaboration within our community. That’s why we were thrilled to embark on a project with some of Edmonton’s most inspiring young minds!
The new mural will cover a substantial unoccupied wall space in North Square Car Park. Various other centre parts have been coloured and decorated.
The London School of Muralism has worked alongside the fantastic local youth through three engaging workshops. Together, they brainstormed ideas and explored artistic expression, culminating in a unique concept: a Pop-Up Book!
Think of it as a story that unfolds in layers, each page bursting with vibrant colours and imaginative details. This Pop-Up Book will celebrate our community’s unity, showcasing the diverse perspectives and talents that weave the rich tapestry of Edmonton.
Thanks to the dedicated students from the London School of Muralism, the fantastic team at NYCC, and the passionate folks at Exodus Youth Worx UK for putting together the proposal for the mural.
Very soon, the exciting process of painting sessions will occur on the site at North Square. We can’t wait to see the Pop-Up Book come to fruition as the teams transform ideas into stunning visuals.
Stay tuned for further updates on this project! We’ll share glimpses of the creative process on Social Media and, of course, the grand reveal of the finished Pop-Up Book.
This project is a testament to the power of collaboration. By working together, young people, artists, and community organisations can create something extraordinary – a celebration of our collective spirit and a source of inspiration for all.
